About Agentrys

Agentrys is building the next generation of design automation for the semiconductor industry.

Our mission is to enable every engineering organization to build its own self-improving agentic design workforce. Agentrys Studio combines AI agents, engineering knowledge, agent-native tools, advanced models, and continuous learning to automate complex chip-design workflows.

Our team brings deep experience in artificial intelligence, electronic design automation, semiconductor design, GPU-accelerated computing, and production software systems. We work closely with leading semiconductor companies to turn advanced research into technology that improves engineering productivity, design quality, and time to market.

The Role

We are looking for a QA / Site Reliability Engineer to own the quality and reliability of Agentrys end to end — from testing autonomous agents and the product, to keeping the platform healthy in our cloud and inside customer environments.

You will build the automated testing, evaluation harnesses, quality gates, and release checks that let us ship fast without breaking trust, plus the observability, SLOs, and incident response that keep deployments reliable wherever they run.

This role suits someone who cares deeply about quality, is comfortable across test engineering and production operations, and wants to keep a complex AI system dependable at scale.

What You'll Do

  • Build and own automated test suites — unit, integration, end-to-end, and regression — across the agent runtime, product, and services.
  • Design quality and evaluation harnesses for non-deterministic agent behavior, including reproducibility, flakiness control, and regression detection.
  • Own CI/CD quality gates: fast, reliable pipelines that catch regressions before release.
  • Define and track SLOs and SLIs, and build observability — metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting — across our cloud and customer deployments.
  • Run incident response and on-call: detection, triage, mitigation, and blameless postmortems, driving durable reliability improvements.
  • Perform release validation and health checks for deployments into customer environments.
  • Do performance, load, and chaos testing to find failure modes before customers do.
  • Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and AI teams to build quality and reliability in from the start, across San Jose, Austin, and Taiwan.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in test automation and/or site reliability engineering for production systems.
  • Proficiency in at least one language such as Python, Go, or TypeScript, with solid debugging skills.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, containers, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with observability stacks (for example Prometheus/Grafana or OpenTelemetry) and defining SLOs.
  • Comfort owning on-call and incident response, with a systematic, data-driven approach to reliability.
  • High ownership, clear communication, and a quality-first mindset.

Particularly Valuable Experience

  • Testing or operating AI/ML or LLM-based systems, including evaluation of non-deterministic behavior.
  • Reliability for enterprise or customer-managed deployments.
  • Performance, load, and chaos engineering.
  • Infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform) and GitOps.
  • Security- or compliance-sensitive production environments (SOC 2 and similar).
  • Building internal tooling and frameworks that raise the whole team's quality bar.

Why Agentrys

At Agentrys, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Help define a new category of semiconductor design technology.
  • Make autonomous engineering agents dependable enough for production chip design.
  • Build the quality and reliability foundation that lets us ship fast with confidence.
  • Keep the platform healthy everywhere our customers run.
  • Work with real semiconductor workflows, tools, and private engineering knowledge.
  • Work in a small, highly technical team where individual contributions can shape the product and company.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across San Jose, Austin, and Taiwan.
  • Change how chips are designed, rather than focus on only one design or one point tool.

Agentrys is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who are excited to combine ambitious research with meaningful engineering impact.
